We stumbled upon this little Pizzeria a few years ago while shopping in Whitley bay.

We were looking for somewhere to grab a bite to eat after a day shopping! We rounded the corner onto Whitley road and found a sign outside with lunchtime offers. It was quite a draw and we found ourselves going inside to check it out. We took a look at the menu and decided to order a Vegetarian Pizza but then after the Guy had started to make the Pizza we changed our minds and asked for a Calzone. We felt a little guilty as the guy then had to discard the pizza he had started but when we apologized were met with a smile and the proprietor as he told us it was fine!

We took the Pizza home and looked forward to having it for Tea. We really enjoyed the Pizza.

To be Honest we liked the service and the pizza so much we returned to have a sit in Pizza meal.

This time we ordered a Combo style platter and this came with a choice of salad from the salad bar. The Boys had Pepperoni and Margarita pizza’s and we really enjoyed the night out.

The staff are really friendly and the pizzas are freshly made. The Whole experience was fantastic it reminded me of the little pizzeria’s they had in Portugal.

I would recommend Pizza Laziz to anyone wanting to try a new Pizzeria! I will be going back myself infact I am looking at going back tomorrow.

I went to Pizza Laziz recently with my parents and my small boys. we had been previously when it was The Ritzy Steakhouse and we were pleased to be served by the friendly Aussie waitress who had served us before. The food was excellent, and the provision made for the kids was good with loads of crayons and colouring books provided. The starters were big and flavoursome, and the option of a trip to the salad bar (which looked fresh) was a good alternative, but we plumped for the garlic bread with cheese. The kids meals were good, the home made chips a treat. All throughout the meal the waitress was helpful and efficient, and the good standard of food will make me go back again. My steak with diane sauce was nicely cooked, and my mum(who is normally quite fussy) enjoyed her carbonara pasta a lot. All in all, a good experience.

We ended up here on New Years eve. Not the most classy establisment (they have changed the sign at the top of the shop, it looks much more tacky and takeaway like now) but the staff tried really hard. It was less than £10 per head (ON NEW YEARS EVE) and we got starters, mains and ice cream. Food wasn’t amazing but the service could not be faulted. I would go back as we felt so welcome.

I get a pizza from the Laziz most Friday and Saturday nights, and I must say it’s always delicious.
Everyone should try the Laziz’s home-made chilli sauce – it’s the best I’ve ever tasted.

I’ve started going in on a Saturday morning for my breakfast as well. It’s quite decent value: Full English with a large Cappucino will set you back a fiver. Not bad.

The staff are all welcoming and friendly – especially the Aussie waitress.

Exceptional service. Very attentive and friendly. Food was good, fresh, and hot. Our family of 4 ate for under 25 pounds. The cook (owner?) even sent out an order of chips on the house for our kids. We’ll definitely be back.

Many thanks for two beautiful meals from Pizzeria Laziz.
I stumbled across your restaurant whilst touring the area, last year with my Mum aged 83 years.
The food was so delicious, that it was one of our MUST-STOP-AT places, when I took my Mum on another trip this year!
We traveled up from Burnley (visiting Edinburgh, first) and we were very much were looking forward to our meal.
We a were NOT disappointed, the food has such a homemade, speciality flavour.
May your business flourish!

  • iain: Friendly atmospheric cafe serving home made sandwiches and cakes and lovely coffees and teas.
  • Geoff: Gorgeous fish and chips, lovely light batter, and the chips aren't too greasy. Good range of other food as well, our kids love the chicken burgers and
  • Cath & Geordie: Best restaurant in the North East. Food is excellent, staff are simply the best. Once you have eaten here you won't want to go anywhere else.
