horrible place to go staff are horrible and its very very very expensive. for the price of a bacon sandwich in there i could buy 2 loafs of bread and a pack of bacon.

On the contrary to the above comment I always find Charlotte’s to be very friendly .The staff are polite a bacon sandwich cost £2.40 with 4 rashers of bacon. Where have you been shopping pal? i’m very surprised they allow you in . Or maybe you just like to post your crap on the net to get some attention.I see you have posted your comments on other coffee shop as well .Don’t you have a job? Oh i forgot you like to shop cheap!!!!!!!!!

I agree with Stefie. I only went there last Friday and it was lovely. My friend and I had a club Sandwich and a steak pie with chips, we also had this weird but really nice drink called a Rhubarb and Ginger Bubbly. It only came to about a tenner, which i think is really good since I’m just a student.
The place was so clean, friendly and serene.

I have just been for lunch today and the service and the food were both perfect. It is a beautiful room with a sparkling chandelier, and it feels quite posh for Whitley Bay! Two of us ate substantially and had lots of tea for under a tenner – very good value compared to the likes of Costa et all! The staff were having to turn customers away as it was so full.

Having spent just over £3 on a speciality sandwich, I was disappointed with the quality of the white bread. My friend was also not totally satisfied with her prawn marie rose, when compared to other local cafes. My other friend was extremely happy with her afternoon tea, which included a sandwich and a scone, which was good value compared to my sandwich.
The staff were very friendly nice girls.

I would just like to say that me and my husband visited Charlottes a few weeks ago and we were delighted with the service and quality of the food, we had afternoon tea and it was delicious!
We went last week and was so disappointed it was closed due to refurbishment, but will we going back soon as it is a lovely place to enjoy a coffee or snack. The staff are friendly and we just love it!

Ah, my other half and i love Charlotte’s! The atmosphere is very nice and relaxed and the waiting staff are polite and friendly. The food has always been very tasty whenwe have visited and we’ve been a fair few times!
The cakes are fab and i think the prices are very reasonable actually. Full breakfast with toast and hot drink is a bargain!
Would you recommend Charlotte’s Tea Room?
