Do not use this takeaway/restaurant/delivery as I have never in my life had such an awful experience with an establishment ever. I placed a delivery order over the phone, and was told that it would take up to an hour for delivery, which was fine, until it came to 1 hour and 20mins later when I telephoned to ask when we could expect our food. I was told that the delivery driver was doing his best and would be with us within 5, 10, 15 or 20mins. I asked if we could have a discount for the late delivery to which I was told that they would ‘throw in some fortune cookies’. Which proved that the food hadnt even left the building. I stated this and asked to speak to the manager to be told ‘No’ he is too busy. Then eventually he came online to tell me, in a very rude manner that I would just have to wait until it turned up. Obviously I cancelled the order.

I think Mrs B. Andrews is a complete liar and attention seeker, she honestly has no idea on how good the staff and quality of food are, there are 3 chinese take aways i could choose from around this area and Oriental Garden is the best choice, i am heading there now to go collect an order, and it will be amazing as always, i hope Mrs B. Andrews does see this and realises how wrong she actually is, love the food, the staff are great and and the servis is speedy.

I would just like to add my comment to the others. We have always used Oriental Garden for years, and I can honestly say we have never had any bother. the staff are great and the food is always good. the only time we have had to wait is Christmas when everyone decides to have a take away, but when you ring in your order you are always told how long your wait will be!!!That to me speaks volumes as it goes to show how good the food is! Happy New Year!!

I have got to agree with the first post.
When I phoned to make an order for delivery, they told me they did not deliver to the area where I live. I live 5 minutes drive away! This was around March 2011.
I had stopped using my usual Chinese takeaway because the quality of the food had taken a nosedive. A friend had told me that the food at the Oriental Garden was good so I thought I would give them another chance. I called in an order for me to pick up (the girl who took the order sounded like her puppy had just died!). To cut a long story short the staff are always miserable (you know! Like it’s to much trouble for them to serve you!). Then slowly but surely the quality of the food degraded (and the staff became more surley) so my takeaway of choice is now pizza. Maybe it has something to do with the economic downturn but I shall not be going to the Oriental Garden again, and I’ve let all my mates know about my poor experience.
